A: Counselling isn't just about dealing with problems. If you feel that your life just isn't working for you, then you may find it helpful to speak to a counsellor. The aim of counselling is for you to work towards living in a more satisfying and resourceful way.
A: There is no set answer to this question. We do not offer a set number of sessions as individual requirements vary.You and your counsellor together will regularly review whether you need or want to continue and decisions regarding this will be made between you both.
A: A Counselling session lasts up to 60 minutes on a weekly basis .
A: We ask you to make a weekly voluntary contribution towards the cost of counselling, if you can. This helps us to continue to provide the service.
A: Once you have decided that you would like to try counselling, then please phone or e-mail COMPASS for an appointment. The initial appointment will be an assessment with a counsellor and will last up to one hour. You will be able to discuss your concerns, ask questions about counselling and decide with the counsellor whether or not counselling would be appropriate.
A: Depending on whether you can make a day time or evening appointment waiting times vary, please feel free to discuss this with one of our counselling administrators.
A: COMPASS only accepts self referrals

A: At 25 Hope Street, we have a wheelchair ramp at the entrance, disabled toilets and a lift to all floors.
